SIGNAL is a product of Brother of Mine Coffee Roasters Australia Pty Ltd, Perth, Western Australia. These terms cover this website and the SIGNAL app while it is in beta.
You cannot sign yourself up. Every venue is set up in person, by us, across the counter, and that is deliberate rather than a shortage of buttons. Asking for an invitation registers your interest. It does not guarantee access, pricing or a date, and it does not oblige you to buy anything.
Beta means the product is changing week to week. Features arrive, get reshaped, and occasionally get removed if they turn out not to earn their place. We will tell you when something you rely on changes.
SIGNAL reads the accounts you connect and tells you what your own numbers say. Every figure it shows is computed from your data and carries where it came from and when it was pulled. Where it cannot read something, it says so instead of estimating.
It is not financial, accounting, tax or legal advice. It is not a substitute for your accountant or bookkeeper. It does not forecast, and where it ever does, it will say plainly that a forecast is what you are looking at. Decisions you make after reading it are yours.
SIGNAL prepares drafts of messages for you. It never sends anything on your behalf, to anyone, and there is no path in the product that can.
You authorise the connections and you can revoke them, in SIGNAL or at Xero or Square, whenever you like. You are responsible for the accuracy of what is in your own books, and for having the right to connect them. If your team can see SIGNAL, you are responsible for who you invite.
When SIGNAL creates a draft bill in your Xero, it is a draft. You approve it in Xero. We never post anything as approved on your behalf.
The privacy policy covers what we collect and what we do with it. Your data stays yours: you can export all of it at any time, free, including on the way out.
Where a price applies it is stated inclusive of GST at the time you are offered it, and confirmed to you in writing. There is no contract and no lock-in. You can cancel at any time and we will not make it difficult.
The SIGNAL name, logo, design and content belong to us or our licensors. Do not reproduce them commercially without permission. Third party names and logos appear only to show what SIGNAL connects to, not to imply endorsement by them.
Do not misuse the site or the app: no scraping at scale, no probing or attacking our systems, no submitting other people's details without their permission, and no sharing your login. We may suspend access that is putting other venues at risk.
SIGNAL is provided as is while in beta. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or that every number will always land, and when a source system refuses us you will be told rather than shown a guess. See the disclaimer for how to read the figures and worked examples we publish. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from use of the site or the app. Nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
We may update these terms as SIGNAL moves out of beta, and fuller product terms will replace this page when they are ready. The date at the top shows the latest revision. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
